EVERYTHING WILL BE OK.
🌈 Rainbow rice is an easy thing to do with your kiddos! Keeps them busy for hours and if playing inside will easily vacuum up.
In this particular bin, I used a 10 pound bag of rice, separated it out in 5 ziplock bags, added 30 drops of food coloring (one color per bag), 1 teaspoon of alcohol, sealed bags and shake until each color is mixed. Then lay them individually out to dry. Once dry it is ready for hours of fun. 🌈
EDITED TO ADD
- you can use water in place of alcohol. The liquid just helps spread the food coloring around. The alcohol helps speed up the drying process. You don’t need much though! And others have suggested vinegar. If you don’t have rice use some pasta ♥

Deb note: These can be glued onto heavy cardboard, styrofoam, or wood to make a mosaic picture.
