MAKING A FACE

MAKING A FACE

Wearing a mask for social distancing can feel really weird. Put your mas on. Look in a mirror. I bet you don't recognize yourself!!

Today, explore different faces, and how one or two changes makes a whole different look.

EXPLORE THE WORKS OF ITALIAN ARTIST, ARCIMBOLDO

Giuseppe Arcimboldo (also spelled Arcimboldi; 1527 - July 11, 1593) was an Italian painter best known for creating imaginative portrait heads made entirely of such objects as fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, and books - that is, he painted representations of these objects on the canvas arranged in such a way that the whole collection of objects formed a recognisable likeness of the portrait subject.        https://www.giuseppe-arcimboldo.org

ACTIVITY:  If you use a real plate, be very careful not to break it.  Be sure to put everything away when you are finished.

YOU NEED:  plates, common objects or pictures cut from magazines (ask before you cut).
