Rainbows and Chalk

Rainbows and Chalk.    ART ACTIVITY:

In Italy, signs are popping up everywhere of a rainbow with the words, "Andra' Tutto Bene".

It  means, "IT  WILL  ALL  BE  FINE!"

This is a symbol of hope for the Italian people.

We Love Rainbows. They make us feel hopeful...

This art work is from someone we know.

His name is Senio.

Today we invite you to make some rainbow art. You can make a poster, small cards, or maybe a book cover for a journal.
There are directions for drawing a rainbow below.

The top left rainbow is made from pieces of plastic bags. You can use hearts, dots, paint, water colors, crayons, colored pencils, construction paper, or cut pieces of pictures from old magazines (as your family, first!), to make a collage. You can anything you can find.

Write a message of hope on your drawing. You might even hang it in the window so your neighbors can see it, too.

If you want to make some sidewalk chalk (if you are allowed to go outside), you can draw on the sidewalk. If you must remain inside, you can use the chalk to draw on paper, even newspaper. Please be sure to help clean up when you are finished.

We hope you have fun!       Deb and Ray
