Duck, Duck, Goose Game

Thanks to Dr. Lauren at VSU for this submission

You tube - how to play.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6iFZL4vy8k

Players -  Minimum of 3 players.

You can play with any age group.

Set up:

Players sit down on the ground in a circle facing each other.

One player is "it".

The “it” player walks, runs, jumps, skips etc. (they can do any type of locomotor skill) around the circle of players.

As the “it” player moves around the circle he/she taps player’s heads. As the “it” player taps player’s heads, he/she says either "duck" or "goose".

When aplayer in the circle is taped duck, he/she remains seated.

Once the “it” player taps a player’s head and says goose, that player gets up as fast as he/she can and tries to chase the “it" player around the circle.

Goal:

The goal of the goose player is to touch/tap the “it” player before the “it” player is able to sit down in the goose's spot in the circle.

If the goose player does not tap or touch the “it” player in time, the "it" player remains “it” for the next round.  Play will resume.

If the goose player does tap or touch the “it” player in time, the goose is now the new “it” player and play will resume.
