More Hot Air Balloon Fun

More Hot Air Balloon Fun.

See the post from 5/28/20 about hot air balloons.

Did you know there are hot air ballon festivals held all over the world?

There are several in the United States, Canada, England, Spain, France, Switzerland, Taiwan, Japan, and Australia.

We have seen hot air balloons in Valle d'Aosta, Italy, too.

Take a virtual field trip all over the world to see photos from these events to inspire your own hot air balloon design.

https://www.travelchannel.com/interests/outdoors-and-adventure/photos/12-amazing-hot-air-balloon-festivals-around-the-world

ACTIVITY:  Draw, paint, color, or use collage to create your own hot air balloon design. Your design might represent your country, your school, your city, something that you like to do, or even can be a unique design representing your family.

Here are some templates to inspire your art work and creativity. Ask your family members and friends to make one, too. You can make a gallery of all the drawings when you are finished.

Make Kinetic Sand

Kinetic sand, or play sand, is a remarkable toy that feels cool and damp but isn't actually wet. It is made out of sand that's coated with a silicone oil, so it sticks to itself. That allows you to mold it, cut it, squish it, stretch it, shape it, and more.

You need fine sand, food coloring, dish soap and cornstarch.

Gratitude Reflections

Gratitude Reflections

This may be a strange time, but we all have things to be grateful for.

Use this chart to help you consider what you are grateful for.

You can make a beautiful book, with ten pages - one for each item on the list.

Be sure to put your name and the date on it. It might be interesting to tetrad chid in the future to see your responses.

Maybe everyone in your family can make a book or add a page to yours.

After you have written, ad doodles or sell sketches for each page.

Have fun.

Game in a Box

Game in a Box

Very simple to make, not so simple to play!!!

Get a small box and a small ball.

Draw or paint a picture of something (see the clown in the picture) that can have an opening for the bar to fall through.

Have an adult cut the hole for you.

THINK about how you can make the game suit things you like. Can you make a baseball diamond and go through the bases? How about a clock and go around the hours in order?

Have fun!

The Bear Went Over The Mountain

The Bear Went Over The Mountain
Here's a song you can learn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UlV1Zsd_iY
Song Lyrics

The bear went over the mountain;
The bear went over the mountain
The bear went over the mountain, to see what he could see.
And all that he could see, and all that he could see
Was the other side of the mountain,
The other side of the mountain
The other side of the mountain, was all that he could see.
The bear went over the river; the bear went over the river
The bear went over the river, to see what he could see.
And all that he could see, and all that he could see
Was the other side of the river, the other side of the river
The other side of the river, was all that he could see.
For he's a jolly good fellow, for he's a jolly good fellow
For he's a jolly good fellow, which nobody can deny.
Which nobody can deny, which nobody can deny
For he's a jolly good fellow, for he's a jolly good fellow
For he's a jolly good fellow, which nobody can deny.
